This old proverb “One bad apple spoils a whole bunch.” Well, one person can lead a whole bunch astray. Hitler convinced many that the Jewish people were to blame for all Germany’s problems and had hundreds of thousands murdered. One person caused division, hate, and fear. There have been others who lead people to believe they knew when Jesus would return and you may be able to name others that caused much death and pain. Will we cling to God’s word? Will we follow Jesus?
Romans 5:12 Therefore, Just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned-
Romans 5:15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by grace of One Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.
Proverbs 6:16-19 These six things the Lord hates, yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren.
Romans 12:17-18 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with ALL men.
Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
John 14:15 If you love Me keep My commandments.
