Prayer?

When Moses brought the Israelites out of Egypt and he went to the mountain for the 10 commandments and the people saw the fierceness of God’s power the people begged that God speak to them through Moses lest they die. God agreed and spoke to them through His prophets and the Levite priest. Jesus brought us a new covenant and showed us the love of the Father through His example and that now we could come to the throne of God with our hearts full of all the messy pain, joy, fear, anger, and questions. It doesn’t need to be a certain form, or perfect, or beautifully put together it only needs to be sincere. A desire for truth and to know God.

John 16:23 And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Romans 10:13 For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Do we pray as to the air? Do we pray as if we believe God listens and will answer? God answers in the best way in the right time. The more we pray and believe God will answer the more we see and hear God’s wisdom. Do we believe?

1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; IN ALL OF YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM AND HE SHALL DIRECT YOUR PATHS.

How often do we acknowledge God, ask God for direction in what we say and do? God knows every breath, every step and all the good and all the bad. Will we acknowledge Him so that He directs our paths?

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
