What is your favorite prophecy? I have a few that amaze me and a few that make me sad.
Isaiah 9:6-7 For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be NO END, upon the thrown of David and over His Kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgement and justice from that TIME FORWARD, EVEN FOREVER.
Psalm 102:18 This will be written for the generation to come, that a people yet to be created may praise the Lord.
Psalm 78:4 We will not hide them from their children, telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.
Psalm 22:30-31 A posterity shall serve Him. It will be recounted of the Lord to the next generation, they will come and declare His righteousness to a people who will be born that He has done this.
Have we thought about the fact that this prophecy has and continues to be fulfilled? Yet, there is very little memory of others who have gone before. Science has discovered some but there is centuries buried beneath the earth still not discovered.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.
Ecclesiastes 1:9-11 That which has been is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which it may be said, “See this is new?” It has already been in ancient times before us. There is no remembrance of former things nor will there be any remembrance of things that are to come by those who will come after.
Generations have come and gone and unless we remember and are taught we make the same mistakes over and yet, if we believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior we try to leave things a little better. Science has proven things in scripture from washing hands under running water, covering our face when we are sick, foods that we shouldn’t eat because of the viruses they carry, and even getting rid of mold in our homes and so much more. Yes, it is all in the scripture. God’s word is perfect and gives us a most excellent way to live. The cost of not learning and heeding God’s teaching is high but there is great reward in keeping it. It is written.
Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Psalm 19:11 Moreover by them your servant is warned, and in keeping them there is great reward.
Psalm 119:114 You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word.
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them saying, “All authority has been given Me in heaven and on earth.”
This is a clear statement: ALL authority has been given to Jesus in heaven and earth not that it will be at some future date. Jesus is king forever.
Luke 1:33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever and ever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.
Revelation 1:8 “I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the END,” says the Lord, “Who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.
Prophecy is still being fulfilled.
