Prophets?

God sent His servants to warn and to comfort. If the people heeded God’s warnings confessed, repented, and turned from their sin and back towards obeying God’s commandments God would relent, heal, and bring peace to their land. When God’s people continued to follow evil then consequences came. God gave a list of the progression of these consequences as a warning to His people in Deuteronomy 28:15-68. This scripture goes through the progression of consequences for not obeying God’s commandments so we are able to recognize them and turn at any point back to God for He is merciful and relents and forgives. God is the reader of our hearts and nothing is hidden from Him so lip service does not work.

2 Chronicles 7:14 If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and heal their land.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter.

Proverbs 17:13 Whoever rewards evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house.

We were given a land with freedom of speech and religion. It can be taken. When one group tries to take another’s rights, their rights are lost as well. DO UNTO OTHERS AS “YOU WANT” THEM TO DO UNTO YOU.

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
