There is an old pastor joke but not joke that is told about a man who decided God would save him from a flood. The police came by to rescue him, then a boat and a helicopter. Each time the man said God will save me. He drowned and when he got to heaven he asked why didn’t you save me? The answer I sent you the police, boat and helicopter.
God works in mysterious ways is not in scripture it does say:
Isaiah 55:8-9 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord.
God sent us Jesus, Doctors and scientists who have studied and learned all they can and are still learning. God gave these the mind for this learning. So we have good counsel.

(the devil knows scripture better than any on earth.) Jesus said to him “It is written again you shall not tempt the Lord your God.
