I love the book of Matthew. I have read it many times but since it is the book of the Bible we will be studying in the fall in Bible Study Fellowship I have been going through it and what God has given me has made me so excited. Many may already understand this so please be happy with me at the remembering.
Jesus’s every action and His every word was with purpose! Everything! He knew exactly the words to speak and He knew the way they would be received and their outcome. His actions how amazing! He knew where and when, and who, and how long. A few of these: the woman at the well, the man at the pool of Bethesda, one of my favorites, He knew exactly the pace to walk for the woman of the issue of blood to reach Him. God created this world to work in harmony and for the good of the whole. Everything affects something. I watched a show that explained how an event in a desert affected the rain forest thousands of miles away. This event was needed to provide what the rain forest needed. His word says go to the ant. The ant cleans up the dead and dropped things that fall to the earth, He created vultures who know their job is to show up and clean up what we call road kill, the honey bees pollenate the plants so that they produce their fruit, and give us honey. Then He made man to be the steward of the beautiful planet He created. He gave wisdom in how to care for it and himself. When He brought the children of Israel out and gave Moses the instructions on how to build the ark and the temple, He told him who He had given skills to do this job He was giving. Some worked wood, some gold, some silver, some cloth, some dye, some put up and took down, and some carried. All were given skills and none were greater than the other; all had purpose and benefited the whole of the people.
1 Corinthians 12:20-24 But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” No much rather, those members of the body which seem weaker are necessary. And those members of the body which we think less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to the part which lacks it.
Luke 12:45-46 But if that servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and be drunk the master of that servant will come one day when he is not looking for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with unbelievers.
Psalm 50:12 If I were hungry, I would not tell you; for the world is Mine and all its fullness.
In our time God has given gifts of all the things He gave at the beginning. We have those who study the science of our planet. They discovered that trees take in carbon dioxide and give us oxygen, so plant a tree and nature it, we have those who study animals and how they play a part in our world; go to the ant and the vulture, we have those who study weather, the human body, the law, agriculture, art, and those who are general laborers, and so much more, apostles, teachers, hospitality, care giving, the list is endless. All are equally important and are worthy of honest pay.
Thank You Lord Your ways are truly unsearchable! Amen
