The Bible speaks of many ways we love our neighbors. Have we thought about the way we treat others with respect? Respect not only of their personal business but also their property. I had a contractor recently and he was telling me some of the laws and how some neighbors do not respect their neighbors. I believe the Lord spoke clearly through me on this as His word says: “He will give you what to say even within that very hour.” What was spoken was: “God does not judge me on how my neighbors treat me but how I treat my neighbors.” He thought only for a second and said: “Your right.” He is also a believer in Jesus. We don’t ever know what our neighbors are going through so we should be looking to help rather than judge.
Proverbs Deuteronomy 19:14 You shall not move your neighbor’s landmark, which the men of old have set, in your inheritance which you will inherit in the land that the Lord your God is giving you to possess.
Proverbs 25:17 Seldom set foot in your neighbors house lest he become weary of you and hate you.
Proverbs 25:8-10 Do not go hastily to court; for what will you do in the end, when your neighbor has put you to shame? Debate the case with your neighbor, and do not disclose the secret to another; lest he who hears it expose your shame and your reputation be ruined.
Proverbs 25:18 A man who bears false witness against his neighbor is like a club, a sword, and a sharp arrow.
Proverbs 18:-19 Like a madman who throws firebrands, arrows, and death, is the man who deceives his neighbor, and says: “I was only joking!”
Deuteronomy 22:1-4 “You shall not see your brother’s ox or his sheep going astray, and hide yourself from them, you shall certainly bring them back to your brother. And if your brother is not near you, or if you do not know him, then you shall bring it to your own house, and it shall remain with you until your brother seeks it; then you shall restore it to him. You shall do the same with his donkey, and so shall you do with his garment; with any lost thing of your brother’s, which he has lost and you have found, you shall do likewise; you must not hide yourself. You shall not see your brother’s donkey or his ox fall down along the road, and hide yourself from them; you shall surely help him lift them up.”
If we sum these up we could say: ” Always treat your neighbor with loving kindness; the way you want to be treated. Love your neighbor as yourself even if they don’t do the same.” I am thankful for great neighbors!
Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
