Responsibility?

Who is responsible?

Deuteronomy 6:6-9 And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Deuteronomy 11:18-21 Therefore you shall lay up these words of Mine in your heart and in your soul, and bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give them, like the days of the heavens above the earth.

There is on theme through these scriptures it says “you/ your 33 times.” Think about it; Who is responsible?

2 Corinthians 6:17 Therefore “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.”

Proverbs 3:1 My son, do not forget My law, but let your heart keep My commands.

We who believe in Jesus Christ the Son of God as our Savior are responsible for teaching our children. God is love and all His ways are good. We teach more by example than by words alone but our words go deep. The tongue is a small organ but can crush a heart.

1 Corinthians 5:13 But those who are outside God judges. Therefore put away from yourselves the evil person.

Matthew 7:1-2 Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgement you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

1 Peter 2:12 Having your conduct honorable among the gentiles that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.

1 Peter 2:17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Lord, thank Your for Your Holy Word; all Your ways are good. Lord, since Adam and Eve we have tried to blame others for our mistakes and faults. Lord, You sent Your Son that we may have life and have it more abundantly. Thank You, You did not leave us orphans but gave us Your Holy Spirit to walk with us and guide us. When I asked for a closer walk with You, You pointed me to Your word and it says: “this is the way walk in it.” We have and do fall short of Your glory. In Jesus name strengthen Your Holy Spirit in us, increase our desire to know and discern Your word rightly that we may shine and others will see You in us and glorify and come to You. Blessed be our Lord and Savior forever and ever. Amen

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
