We hear this at different times but true revival is not flooding church buildings when there is a tragedy. True revival brings lasting change! Repentance of wrong, then turning from wrong, correcting our wrongs, then a complete change in our behavior to good and righteous behavior according to Jesus teachings. We can bring revival in ourselves by turning back to God’s way, God’s word, Jesus teaching. We can be a lasting change.
Chronicles 7:14 If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways THEN I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and heal their land.
God is the reader of our hearts and intents of our minds. Do we really want to change? God knows!
Jeremiah 17:9-10 The heart is deceitful above all things; and desperately wicked; who can know it? I the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.
Galatians 5:22-23 But the Fruit of the SPIRIT is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control. Against such there is no law.
What are we sowing? Will we each return to God our Father humbly and bring true revival through true and lasting change? Will we walk in God’s truth, Jesus teaching?
Isaiah 30:21 Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.
Are we listening?
Proverbs 22:24 Make no friendship with an angry man, and with a furious man do not go lest you learn his ways and set a snare for your soul.
James 1:20 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
