Science

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

God asked Solomon what he wanted. Solomon asked for wisdom to govern God’s great people the Jews. Since Solomon asked wisdom, God gave him wisdom and wealth and much more. Proverbs and Ecclesiastes contains much of the wisdom given to Solomon. We have the great privilege God gave to those to save and write them out so we can have them to learn from. Solomon learned from those who had gone before him. One of the requirements of the king was to write for himself the book of the law that Moses had written.

Deuteronomy 17:18-19 Also it shall be when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write for himself a copy of this law in a book, from the one before the priests, the Levites. And it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the Lord his God and be careful to observe all the words of this law and these statutes.

Praise God we all can have a copy! But what does this have to do with science? Look out any window, look out any open door! The Bible tells us God created the heavens, the earth, and man in His own image. God gave man the wisdom to search out how all His creation works. To me having the little science that I have understanding of leaves me in greater awe of God. Look at the tree! Science taught us that tree takes in carbon dioxide and gives off oxygen, it provides for His birds who carry seeds to plant across the planet. More than half the earth is covered in water. Without oxygen we die in minutes, without water about 3 days. He spoke all things into being and we were given to be stewards of all He created. Would He then not teach us how to care for His creation?

Are we in awe of our Great God our Creator? We need to appreciate each persons gifts and talents. Those who have a gift in science of how things work doctors, lawyers, teachers, moms, dads, vets, farmers and so much more. We all have a gift, a talent. Will we use our gifts, our talents great and small to glorify God? Will we use them for the benefit of all? We none can do all things ourselves. If we love and appreciate others gifts and encourage each other we receive so much more.

Freely you have been given freely give. Look out any window, look out any open door. Be in awe. The more we learn about His creation the more we understand how great He is. Look out any window, look out any open door fall in love with our Creator even more.

Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.

Ecclesiastes 1:12-13 I the preacher, was king over Israel in Jerusalem. And I set my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all that is done under heaven; This burdensome task God has given to the sons of man, by which they may be exercised.

Proverbs4:5 Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.

Look out any window, look out any open door.

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
