Matthew 6:22-23 The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness, how great is that darkness.
We have heard, “you are what you eat.” If we eat good, clean, healthy food our physical bodies are healthier, stronger, and better able to do those things we need to do every day. What about our spiritual bodies? Again what we put in or what we watch, see, and hear leaves and imprint on our minds, on our spirit. We all have memories of many things. What are your memories that come to mind? Memories of maybe movies you have watched, of those you have been with, places you have been, good, bad, ugly maybe? As a child and even now I could and can not watch scary movies. They really bothered me and made me have night mares. Now I check in with the Holy Spirit about what to choose to watch. We get more from God honoring viewing and listening than from what the world believes is popular. Choose wisely!
1 Peter 4:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
Lord, thank You for Your word. In Jesus name strengthen Your people too resist the pull of worldly things and help us be a separate people. amen
Let your light so shine before men that they see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
