Sheep?

Sheep need a shepherd because they are dumb and fearful. Whom do we choose as our shepherd? Whom are we choosing to listen to and following?

Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone, to his own way; and the Lord has laid on HIM the iniquity of us all.

Proverbs 22:24-25 Make no friendship with an angry man. And with a furious man do NOT go, lest you learn his ways and set a snare for your soul.

James 1:20 For the wrath of man does NOT produce the righteousness of God.

James 1:26-27 If any one of you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

Whom will we choose to hear and follow?

Ecclesiastes 7:9 Do NOT hasten in your spirit to be angry, for anger rests in the bosom of fools.

Proverbs 29:22 An angry man stirs up strife, and a furious man abounds in transgression.

Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing but in every thing by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

John 10:11 “I am the Good Shepherd, the Good Shepherd gives His life for the sheep.”

God fights for us. Do we trust Him? Will we follow Jesus the way, the truth, and the life?

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
