Jesus came to seek and to save those who are lost. Are we seeking to win souls? Do our words and actions win souls? Our country was founded on FREEDOM of Religion; because of the religious persecution they fled from to come to this country, they wanted to be sure all who came to this country had FREEDOM of Religion. Would we want this right taken away? Are we acting in a way to WIN souls? Are we acting and speaking in love for our neighbors? Are we acting in love towards those we don’t agree with?
Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of righteousness is a tree of life, and he who WINS souls is WISE.
1 Peter 3:15-16 But sanctify the Lord in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who ASKS you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evil doers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.
1 Peter 2:12 Having your conduct honorable among the gentiles, that when they speak against you as evil doers, they may by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.
1 Peter 2:17 Honor ALL people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
Do we want our rights taken? Should we seek to take another’s rights away?
I had a bible study leader who testified of the person who drew her to Jesus. She said the person was so kind, gentle, and peaceful that she had to ask her what she did. The woman told her “JESUS” and gave her a bible. Do others see JESUS in us? Hate and anger beget hate and anger.
Proverbs 22:24-25 Make no friendship with an angry man, and with a furious man do not go, lest you learn his ways and set a snare for your soul.
Romans 12:17-19 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of ALL men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with ALL men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” say the Lord.
Will we WIN souls?
