Scripture tells us we will reap what we sow. What are we sowing as believers in Christ? What are we sowing as a nation? We have seen many changes. How do the changes stand up to Jesus teaching? Are we ready to reap what is being sown?
Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Job 4:8 Even as I have seen, those who plow iniquity and sow trouble reap the same.
Psalm 41:1-3 Blessed is he who considers the poor, the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive, and he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. The Lord will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.
What are we sowing?
Proverbs 21:13 Whoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poor will also cry and not be heard.
Exodus 22:21 You shall neither mistreat a stranger nor press him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.
Are we treating others the way we want to be treated? What if we needed help? We are known by our actions and our words. What are we sowing so that if we cry out to God will answer? God rescued His people and then taught them to never treat others the way they were treated. You will know them by their fruits. Can a tree bear good and bad fruit? A half lie is still a lie and a trick of satan. Actions matter, words matter. What fruit will we bear? Love, kindness, goodness, self control, gentleness, truth, hope, and all those things that are of the Holy Spirit. Are we listening?
