Genesis 1:26-27 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; Let them have dominion over the the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created them.
There is a beautiful family I know that have three children. Amazingly each child takes features from a different member of the family. One daughter after her grandma, the son after his dad, and the youngest daughter after her mom. Like our DNA leaves an imprint on how we look so the world leaves and imprint on how we think and behave. If we fill our lives with God and His truth we have the armor of God to protect us from the world. The devil is the father of lies but he still can come as an angel of light and cause us to except a belief that isn’t true. The devil encourages lies, hate, division, chaos, anger, slander, gossip; even in the form that we may think we are trying to protect, defend, be holy, righteous, maybe even uphold God’s honor.
I had heard in my life that we sometimes get in God’s way. One day I was praying and repeated this back to God in prayer; “Lord I don’t want to get in Your way.” The Lord immediately gave me a vision of Him turning and looking at me as if to say “really you just said that or you really think you could get in My way.” I got the the clear jest of it and began to laugh. He is God! No one or any thing can get in His way; He is God! I believe we all have some of these spots in our lives. Things we have excepted as truth that really aren’t. Remember God created all things and all things living and not living belong to Him.
Love God by obeying Him. Love your neighbor as yourself.
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control against these things there is no law.
Galatians 6:9-10 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Lord, thank You! You know and see each heart and all those things that have and do effect us through out our lives. Help us, Your people turn to You for truth. Your word is truth. Help us to walk in it. Help us turn from the devils lies to Your fruit of the Spirit. In Jesus name; Your Son who knows the hearts of all humanity and still loves us all. Amen
