Will we heed God’s call to know His word and walk in it?
Ezekiel 3:1 More over He said to me, “Son of man, eat what you find; eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel.” So I opened my mouth, and He caused me to eat that scroll. And He said to me, “Son of man, feed your belly, and fill your stomach with this scroll that I give you.” So I ate, and it was in my mouth like honey in sweetness.
Have we tasted and know God’s word is good and righteous? Have we found His good ways to walk in them?
Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.
Psalm 119:103-105 How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through Your precepts I get understanding; Therefore I hate every false way. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Are we diligent to discern God’s word rightly? Do we study to understand? Do we look at God’s word as a guide for our every day lives?
2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Revelation 22:18-19 For I testify to everyone who hears the word of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Will we hunger and thirst for God’s truth? Will we accept it and walk in it?
