Jesus is the Head of the church. Is Jesus really the head of the church? We know the church is God’s people those who believe in our Savior Jesus as the Son of God. Jesus addressed His people about their sins first. God corrects those He loves. Will we listen?
Matthew 23:27-28 Woe to you, scribes and pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
We are none without sin. How do we help others if we do not work at keeping our own house clean?
Luke 6:46 “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, ‘Lord, and not do the things which I say?”
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
How are we to walk in Jesus way if we do not study His way? He corrected the religious leaders of that day. We have God’s word. We will know them by their fruits by knowing the truth of God’s word. Beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing. We must bear the fruit of the Spirit; love, joy, peace, gentleness, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self control.
Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God.
