Do we sometimes think we are better than another person, religion, nation, country, or race of people? Do we think God shows partiality to one of these more than another? Did not God punish His own chosen people, the Hebrews/Jews the same as any other of the nations around them just as He said He would?
John 6:44 No one comes to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
God called His people to keep His commandments and live. All God’s ways are for us all. Does not the Creator know what is best for His creation?
Deuteronomy 30:19-20 I call heaven and earth as witness today against you, that I set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; Therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; That you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give you.
I appreciate God’s gift to some in science. Solomon was given much wisdom in all things. We learn from them that God’s directions, proverbs, statutes, and yes His commandments are true. Also that the reasons for God’s teachings are real and for our physical and emotional health. It amazes me how all God has had written down for us still holds true today and makes perfect since.
Does it not leave us in awe of God to understand why He created everything He created to sustain the heavens and the earth and all living things? Science has shown us that if it was off by the tiniest bit none of it would exist. Can we remember to be in awe of God our Creator?
Thank You Lord, for all Your creation in beauty, harmony, and all it provides.
