The gospel, the good news of Jesus is the solid rock we are to build on. For thousands of years it has endured and continued to grow. Jesus teachings has transcended time and space. We continue to try and fail to stay on this solid teaching because we are humans and are affected by the things we see and hear in the world. We need a steady diet of God’s word, prayer, and faith to hold on to the way the truth, and the life. God did not and does not ask us to blindly believe. Jesus fulfilled all the prophecy that the prophets of old wrote before God sent His only begotten Son of a human to rescue the fallen world. As for me as a song I recently heard said “I have seen too much not to believe.” God knows all things about each and every one of us. A small spark of faith God can flame into a fire in His hand by His Holy Spirit. If we are willing to listen God will lead by the solid rock of His word, His Spirit, His hand. Are we listening? Will we listen? With a good foundation we may be battered by life but we but we will remain in God’s love.
Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away but My words will by no means pass away.
