Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
There was a time I sat on the edge of my tub and I said, “Lord, I don’t like me fix me.” God showed up right then and covered me in His presence. My thought was, “this is what unconditional love is.” I came to want to draw near to Him just before one of the biggest storms of my life; I was taken by His love. That is the time I found He does not change but does all those things He ever did. He lead, He spoke, He comforted; I light up when I think of all He has and does for me. Yet I get sad to think how awesomely amazing He is and I still mess up. I asked Him about it once and He spoke one word to me, “gullible.” I said “I don’t want to be gullible any more.” I actually later looked up the word gullible to see what the meaning was. After this major storm that God was showing me and teaching me He was God, and He sees me and knows all things past, present, and future He gave me a vision. In this vision I started out in this strong storm, then it began to change to a beautiful green meadow. I began to cry because I wanted to go back to the storm because that is where I knew God was with me. The vision continued, the beautiful green meadow changed to crystal clear, beautiful still water; I could see the bottom and the beautiful pebbles and dappled sunlight. Still there were tears in my eyes; then I was walking through a desert all I could see was sand. I looked up and saw a bird with its wings spread wide. I smiled because my thought was that He was with me still leading me. We will all go through many seasons in this life but our perfect Father, Son, and Holy Spirit changes not. He is the same now as we read in His Word.
Lord, Thank You that by Your son and Your Word we can know who You are and that You change not. In Jesus Mighty name please reveal Yourself to Your people rightly through Your word and lead us in Your way everlasting.
