The Stranger?

Are we deciding on God’s view or mans view? I have seen jokes and heard complaints yet not often do I hear God’s view quoted not even among believers.

Deuteronomy 10:17-19 For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe. He administers justice for the fatherless and the widow, and LOVES the stranger, giving him food and clothing. Therefore love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Should we not love those God loves?

Leviticus 19:33-34 And if a stranger dwells with you in your land, you shall not mistreat him. The stranger who dwells among you shall be to you as one born among you and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

Should we not love those who God commanded us to love? How many of us would not do all we could for a better life for our children?

God our Father gave us His only begotten SON, Jesus, and sent us His Holy Spirit and His Word.

What will we give? Will we give love, peace, kindness, goodness, hope, encouragement, a gentle word? Will we offer up to God our prayers?

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
