Will we allow the thief to come in and destroy us, our families, our peace? Will we put away our political opinions, our need for our opinions to be the right ones, our own anger possibly caused by man’s agenda? Are we letting the thief steal, kill and destroy?
John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, kill and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
What if we put our own opinions aside and love each other in Christ Jesus?
John 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
What if we put our trust in God and do as scripture tells us?
1 Timothy 2:1-3 Therefore I exhort first all that supplications, prayers, and intercessions and giving thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a peaceful life in all godliness and reverence for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.
1 Peter 2:12 Having your conduct honorable among the gentiles that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.
Will we let the thief take from us our friends and family? Will we put our trust in the One who holds it all?
Psalm 50:12 If I were hungry I would not tell you; for the world is Mine and all its fullness.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the Lord do all these things.
Whom will we put our faith and trust in?
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path.
