Trust?

Do we truly trust God?

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

In all your ways acknowledge Him?

What does this look like in our lives? Do we study His word to know the wisdom He has given us? Such a precious gift God’s Word. He has given us His Holy Spirit as guide and helper. Do we spend time in prayer listening for God’s voice? Then if we do these things do we check in with Him for every choice we make?

The world around us vies and pushes for our attention; so this is hard. The effort is worth it. The devil only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. The devil wants us moving, speaking, doing before we have time to know or discern the truth. If we feel pushed into something by anger, flattery, get money quick, speaking or repeating something we have heard or read that may or may not be true then we have to STOP, WAIT! The devil is the father of lies and he wants us repeating them quickly. Wouldn’t we rather stop and wait as to have to apologize. Should we not keep our words few and bless and not curse? Are we not blessed in blessing? May we reach another soul with love and blessing?

Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made know to GOD.

Matthew 12:36 But I say to you that for every idle word men speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgement.

James 1:19-20 So, then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

James 1:23-24 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself , goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.

In all your ways acknowledge Him.

What happens when we put Jesus first?

He will direct your paths.

Do we trust in the Lord?

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer. AMEN

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
