Whom do you trust? Whom do you believe you can trust? Who comes to mind? What does God’s word say about who we should trust?
Psalm 146:3-4 Do not put your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, he returns to this earth; In that very day his plans perish.
Psalm 118:8 It is better to trust the Lord than to put confidence in man.
Whom do we trust?
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path.
Humans will let us down. We will let humans down. We are but dust. God is a Father who never lets us down. God holds the past, present, and future and knows the plan.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Malachi 3:6 “For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.”
Are we thankful our Father in heaven is faithful and never changes? By His word we know His truth.
Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord has appeared of old to me saying: ” Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.”
This morning there was a child’s lullaby going through my mind; Hush little baby don’t you cry, hush little baby don’t say a word papa’s gonna buy you… You know that one? Are we thankful for a Papa who sees and hears us when we call? I am always amazed by God’s love and mercy to see and hear and talk with me. Who am I that He would notice me? Why has God promised to never leave nor forsake us?
God is God. God is love.
Sometimes when I get so excited about something He shows me or tells me I start to think/ say to Him, “I love You so.” It is hard for me to say I love You to Him because I could never come close to loving Him as He loves me.
Whom do we put our trust in?
