Are we struggling to understand what is happening in God’s world? Are we struggling with what to believe because one thing is being said and another done? Are we struggling from the chaos from day to day? One thing does not change! God’s word. God has not stopped being God; He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. All God’s words are faithful and true. Will we continue to struggle with these things? I do, but we are in the company of others before us. God’s prophets struggled and wrestled with the evil around them and cried out to God. Yet, in their struggles they still remembered God is God and His plans for us are good.
Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.
Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Psalm 37:7-9 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way because of the man who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret it only causes harm. For evil doers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.
I find this hard not because I don’t trust God but I don’t trust myself. This is still not putting all my trust in God to direct my paths. I have seen first hand God’s hand on me and the way He directs my paths but so often I have fallen in that ditch it scares me. Lord, forgive me and help my unbelief. Lord, keep my feet on Your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to Your name. In Jesus name.
Deuteronomy 31:8 And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; Do not fear nor be dismayed.
Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like the eagles, they shall run and not grow weary, they shall walk and not faint.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven:
