Walk In It?

Are we walking in God’s ways? Are we listening for His voice? Are we studying to know and remember? God’s word is pure, perfect, and true but we cannot pick and choose what we want from it. In it is history of those who have gone before us. The good they did, the bad they did, and the mistakes they made. Will we learn from it or be as Solomon said?

Ecclesiastes 1:11 There is no remembrance of former things that are to come by those who will come after.

Isaiah 30:21 Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.

What will we choose?

Psalm 15:1-5 Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? He who walks uprightly, and works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart; He who does not backbite with his tongue, Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor does he take up a reproach against a friend; In whose eyes a vile person is despised, but honors those who fears the Lord; He who swears to his own hurt and does not change; He who does not take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.

Psalm 14:2 The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek God.

We cannot do this on our own.

Zechariah 4:6 So he answered and said to me: This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of Hosts.

The mind cannot forget what the eye has seen. The ear cannot unhear what it has heard.

What will we choose?

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
