How often do we ignore things that we don’t want to hear or do? How often do we decide something isn’t happening? Do we ignore the warnings because we don’t like them or we don’t want to believe them? Maybe our bodies warning signs of illness, a check engine light, weather related emergencies, Scripture? Should we take heed to God’s word?
Proverbs 22:3 A prudent man foresees evil / danger and hides himself; but the simple pass on and are punished.

There are consequences to ignoring warnings and those helpers God sends by. Are we listening?
Ecclesiastes 10:10 If the ax is dull, and one does not sharpen the edge, then he must use more strength; But wisdom brings success.
Ecclesiastes 10:1 Dead flies putrefy the perfumer’s ointment, and cause it to give off a foul odor; SO does a little folly to one respected for wisdom and honor.
Proverbs 25:26 A righteous man who falters before the wicked is like a murky spring and a polluted well.
Proverbs 25:28 Whoever has no rule over his own spirit is like a city broken down, without walls.
James 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.
Should we obey Scripture? Should we not diligently search Scripture for answers? Jesus didn’t leave us on our own.
James 1:19-20 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
James 1:26-27 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and keep oneself unspotted from the world.
John 14:15 If you love Me keep My commandments.
Are we listening? Will we listen? This is the way walk in it.
