We Know?

Do we say we know Jesus? Do we say Jesus is our Lord and Savior? To know someone we need to spend time with them, learn about them, learn their ways, desires, beliefs, hopes, actions. If we call Jesus Lord and Savior it will change us from the inside out and will show in the way we speak to others, and the way we act even when no one is watching us. To know Jesus is to change us for the better from the inside out.

1 John 2:3-6 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk just as He walked.

John 14:15 If you love Me keep My commandments.

What is in our hearts? God knows. There is nothing hidden from God.

1 Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit with me.

Matthew 5:8-9 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God.

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
