Are we so weak in our faith that we shun and put others down? Are we so weak in our faith that we fail to produce the fruit of the Holy Spirit of our God, and Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior? We were told not to marry outside our faith but we were told the greatest commandment was to love God by obeying His commandments and loving our neighbor as ourselves. When Jesus was asked, “Who is our neighbor,” He made it clear it was every human no matter race or religion. Our God made clear to the Israelites that they were not to pass by one they hated who had trouble but to help them and to love the stranger / foreigner as one of them. Jesus ate with sinners and died for all we sinners. God shows no partiality and we are told not to show partiality. Do our words and actions reflect the love of Jesus to all peoples? Beware lest you entertain angels. We do not know the one soul that we could win not by preaching but by living out Jesus ways. Last night I was given two names. Names meant a lot in the days Jesus walked as a human on earth; His name means Savior / Messiah. I was given the names “Lucy meaning light,” and “Humphrey meaning peaceful warrior.” Can we be peaceful warriors and bring the light of Jesus in love, peace, kindness, gentleness, and goodness?
John 14:15 If you love Me keep My commandments.
Luke 5:30-32 And their scribes and pharisees complained against His disciples, saying, “Why do You eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” Jesus answered and said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
2 Corinthians 6:17-18 Therefore “Come out from among them and be separate,” says the Lord. “Do not touch what is unclean and I will receive you.” “I will be a father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”
Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Will we, can we, be peaceful warriors of Jesus light?
