Have we grown weary in doing good? Has our love grown cold? Do some of us look at all we have done to help other nations, people, and neighbors and think ‘what is in it for me?’ God has blessed our country, if we have food, a roof over our heads, our bills are paid, and so much more we could list, we have been blessed. Maybe because we have been willing to stretch out a helping hand God has blessed us, this country with peace, provision, democracy and more. God’s blessings are great to those who obey His commandments. Are we listening?
Galatians 6:9-10 And let us NOT grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not loose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to ALL, especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Have we lost sight of what we have been given?
John 14:15 If you love Me keep My commandments.
Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O man what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?
Isaiah 58:6-9 Is this not the fast I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, and not hide yourself from your own flesh? Then your light shall break forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. Then you shall call and the Lord will answer; you shall cry and He will say, ‘Here I am.’
This is the way, walk in it. Judge not lest you be judged, forgive and you shall be forgiven, help and you will find help. Hold on, faint not.
