1 Timothy 2:1-3 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.
What if we obeyed the scripture? What if we only prayed for all men and women in the way the Lord has showed us in His word?
Matthew 6:9-13 Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and power and the glory forever. Amen
What if we trusted God’s sovereignty when it doesn’t look like what we expected?
Romans 9:21 Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?
What if our prayers were for men’s / women’s souls? For while we were yet sinners Christ died for us all.
Proverbs 24:17 Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles;
What if we all prayed for each other when we stumble or mess up? What if we lifted up all men with love and compassion? We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
Philippians 1:9-11 And this I pray, that your love may abound still more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory of God. Amen.
