Where?

Where is God? Where do we believe we have to go to find God? Where do we believe we need to be to worship God? Is God Emanuel, God with us or is God an idol we have set up in a building to be visited?

Jesus went to the woman at the well, Jesus went to the man in the tombs, Jesus went the blind and the leper, Jesus came into the world to seek and to save the lost.

Where?

John 4:21-24 Jesus said to her, woman, “Believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship for salvation is of the Jews. BUT the hour is coming, AND NOW IS, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

When we meet someone along our way do we invite them to a building or do we invite them to meet Jesus?

1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.

John 14:16-18 “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever, the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I WILL COME TO YOU.”

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.”

Where do we want Jesus?

James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded.

Jeremiah 29:13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Again, Where is Jesus? Do we know Jesus or do we know of Jesus?

Romans 10:13 For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
