Do we believe we can take God out of places or put God in places? Do we believe installing the Ten Commandments on a wall in this place or that building puts God there? Did Jesus not say, we the people are His church, His Kingdom? Is it not written that the Holy Spirit abides in all believers of Jesus Christ as the Son of God? Are we not God’s temple? If we say God has been taken out of this place or that place have we not failed in our walk with God? We are called to walk just as Jesus walked. Do we do our best at walking out God’s way so others see Jesus in our words and actions? Our children model their mom and dad’s behavior. Should we not model Jesus for them so they model Jesus to their classmates? Do we model our Heavenly Father? A plaque that may be ignored or forgotten about can never take the place of we God’s children walking out our love for Jesus and our neighbors every day.
1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
1 Peter 2:12 Having your conduct honorable among the gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works which they observe glorify God in the day of visitation.
1 Peter 2:17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
What if we are Christ’s walking church?
John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
Can we stop worrying about who is taking God out of where and start walking in Jesus love and light wherever we go? Oh, what a true difference we could make.
Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
