What does God say about winning?
Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.
Do we draw people to Jesus with all Jesus offers? Will we draw them to Jesus with what He called His disciples to do?
Mark 16:15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
The word gospel means good news! How beautiful are the feet that bring the good news! Are we telling others the good news of Jesus and what He and God the Father has done for us and all they will do for them? Are we giving an account for the hope that lives within us?
1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who ASKS you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;
God has brought me from sin and despair to the hope, joy, and peace He has given me! Have we, do we let what is going on in this world over shadow what good things God has done for us? Yes, things that are going on in God’s world are scary right now and it is not easy to not give into fear, hate, and anger.
John 14:27-28 “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. You have heard me say to you, I am going away and coming back to you. If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, I am going to the Father, for My Father is greater than I.”
Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
When I am speaking of God, His word, and of Jesus my joy and my heart soars.
Philippians 4:8 Finally brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report if there is any virtue and if there is anything praise worthy- meditate on these things.
What could be more praise worthy than following Jesus? What could be more praise worthy than lifting up praise for where He has brought us from? What could be more praise worthy than?
