Scripture tells us wisdom comes from God. God gives wisdom and skills and talents to each person in this world. We have doctors, lawyers, teachers, builders, scientists, artist, and so many more. Why would we reject the gifts God has given? God gave His priests / physicians the wisdom and understanding about the foods to eat and not to eat, how to recognize disease and help to stop the spread of those diseases. Further into our history God gave the ability to develop vaccines, cars, indoor plumbing, electricity, and so much more we take for granted every day. Do we want to reject all of these things? Science has proven the wisdom for God’s teaching in Leviticus. I am in awe that God gave this wisdom for all of our benefit. Are we listening?
Proverbs 2:6 For the Lord gives wisdom, from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
Proverbs 2:13-14 Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding; For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, and her gain than fine gold.
There is much to learn in Proverbs. I don’t think I could ever live up to the Proverbs 31 woman. A hint she also works outside the home. Are we listening?
