Wondering?

Have you wondered why God doesn’t seem to punish evil? Have you wondered why God in the old testament destroyed a whole people?

Let’s start in Genesis: Genesis 18:20-19:22 Did you read it? Read it carefully to see our wonderful God. This is the account of Sodom & Gomorrah. We see God’s mercy but we also see God’s correction and wrath.

Why doesn’t God seem to punish evil now?

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. If God was not a merciful, loving God there would be no humans left on earth. Because of His love and mercy He sent His Son that we may live and not die. We have a High Priest, a Savior, that knows us and still loves and intercedes for us. One who was without sin who laid down His life that we may have life. Thank You Jesus

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
