What is the wood fueling and fanning your flames of hate and anger? Is it the news? Turn it off. Is it others who want to complain about the news and the world? Don’t add any wood / words of hate but redirect to God’s grace and mercy; we are none sinless. Watch the change that comes about. See the love of Jesus put out the flames of hate and anger. Which do we want to feed love or hate? The devil calls us to feed on hate and anger some even being drawn to it. Break his hold. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Jesus said, My peace I leave with you.
Proverbs 26:20 Where there is no wood, the fire goes out; and where there is no talebearer, strife ceases.
Matthew 5:43-44 You have heard that it was said ‘you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemies. But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.
Put out the fire of hate with God’s word.
Lord, thank You for Your perfect word. Help us to heed it and walk in it that others may see You in us and turn to You in the day You call them. Help us draw them with Your love. In Jesus name amen.
