2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
John 16:8-11 And when the He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement; of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgement, because the ruler of this world is judged.
The Holy Spirit speaks to us who believe in Jesus. To understand we also need to know God’s Word, because the Holy Spirit will never go against God’s Word. A lot of time I find He brings Scripture to my mind in how to handle situations. A recent example was when I was praying about a client that wanted to buy a lot of gift certificates. With all that has happened in the past year I just haven’t felt sure I would continue. The Holy Spirit gave me this scripture during my prayer about this: Romans 13:8 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. With this answer I was also given an idea for this person instead of the gift certificates. Another is when I am reading Scripture and I get an uncomfortable feeling I know now that I am being convicted of sin or wrong behavior in my life. I need to pray and watch what it is the Word is saying to me. Try reading Proverbs prayerfully. The wisdom there in how to live a good life is amazing.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Thank You Lord, Your word is a light to my feet and a lamp to my path. In Jesus name Lord, Father give us a hunger and a thirst to know You through Your Word. Blessed is our glorious Savior. Amen
