Mark 8:36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?
Matthew 16:26-27 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul? Or what will he give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to His works.
In Ecclesiastes Solomon went over the things in life that can enter into every day and one day turns into another. All is vanity he said, all things pass away. He gave us many examples and all are still true today. The wisdom we gain in God’s word leads us to a life pleasing to Him. What is the conclusion of the teaching?
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgement, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.
Psalm 131:1-2 Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor my eyes lofty. Neither do I concern myself with great matters, nor with things too profound for me. Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me.
How often do we concern ourselves with things we have no real knowledge of? Will we turn to the wisdom in God’s word?
Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Psalm 111:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled.
Thank You Jesus
