God our Heavenly Father sent His only begotten Son in the flesh who showed us the character of His Father and because Jesus loved us and sacrificed Himself for us that we may have eternal life with Him, Jesus asked the Father to give us a Helper because we could not do this on our own. God promised to never leave us nor forsake us. The Holy Spirit a part of God is given to us to help us discern good from evil, right from wrong, to help protect us from evil and sin and lead us in all the ways of God for God gives to all His Holy Spirit who asks. We learn as little children and we grow in God’s loving care. God does correct those He loves. We can learn by the consequences God lets us suffer along this journey home. Knowing God’s Word is a great help. God gave us His Word, His only begotten Son, and His Holy Spirit. We none have any more of the Holy Spirit than another. We are each on our journey home.
John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have ever lasting life.
John 14:7 If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.
John 14:9-11 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, “Show me the Father?” Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.”
John14:15-18 If you Love Me keep My commandments, and I will pray the Father, and He will give you a Helper, that He may abide with you forever, the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans.
John14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
John 16:8-11 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement: of sin because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I got to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgement, because the ruler of this world is judged.
John 16:13 However, when He the Spirit of Truth has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
God’s Holy Spirit will always abide by God’s Word. Any other who goes against God’s Word is not the Holy Spirit. Study to show yourself approved. Often the Holy Spirit will bring to remembrance a scripture when we are struggling with a trial, a question, or maybe a warning to protect us. When we draw close to God, God draws close to us. We are all on our own journey but together. None are more righteousness than another. We have only to boast of God who is loving, gentle, good, kind, long suffering, with us all. Are we listening?
