Do we realize just how much the words we speak affects ourselves and all those we speak to. Do we realize the meaning of our words can be lost in too much talking? Do we say of some, “it is just the way they talk?” Do we understand how important what we say is to God? Mordecai , one man could have caused the whole of the Jewish nation to be destroyed. The Word doesn’t say Mordecai was to worship Haman but to pay him homage / respect. Pride goes before a fall. We are told to be quick to listen and slow to speak. How or why do we answer a matter before we hear it or understand it? How much do words matter? In the beginning, before God created each part of the world it says: “THEN GOD SAID!” How important are the words we speak, the words that are spoken?
Matthew 12:36-37 “But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgement. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
Hebrews 4:12-13 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to division of soul and spirit, and joint and marrow, and is the discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
Are we listening? You will know them by their fruit.
