Happiness?

Reading Ecclesiastes Solomon takes us through his journey to find happiness. Solomon was given great wisdom and knowledge for God gave it to Solomon and taught him. Solomon left us the greatest gift of wisdom at the end of chapter 12 of Ecclesiastes.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgement, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.

God gave His people the way to life and God gave us His Son and then His Holy Spirit to always be with us. There are no short cuts or another way. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Our justice system is based on God’s commandments so unbelievers are given to know right from wrong. Are we listening?

Revelation 22:11 He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.

God’s people can make a difference but we have to follow Jesus teachings. We need to write God’s words on our hearts and minds to know the true way. Proverbs is a great place to start.

Ecclesiastes 12:11 The words of the wise are like goads, and the words of the scholars are like well driven nails, given by one Shepherd.

Will we listen? Will we be the change we want to see? God is love.

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
