Hearing? Hiding? Denying?

God gave Jeremiah the task to write down all his warnings for the king and the people, yet the king would not accept the warnings or warn the people. The kings advisors said that Jeremiah troubled the people, made them sad, and fearful, so Jeremiah should be silenced. God gave His people blessings and consequences these are not hidden; “It is written.” The things that are happening can’t be stopped just because they are hidden and the people are not warned. God has given many to warn of the coming difficulties. God does not hide Himself from His people but brings many warnings. Will we listen? Will we follow Jesus way?

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.

Ecclesiastes 1:9-11 That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which it may be said, “See this in new?” It has already been in ancient times before us. There is no remembrance of former things, nor will there be any remembrance of things that are to come by those who will come after.

Many persons, we call historians today, that used to be called recorders in history left us much to learn from; the good and the bad. We can learn from our mistakes by admitting them and doing our best to correct them not cover them up. Are we listening? No where in God’s word does it say; “Sweep it under the rug.”

2 Chronicles 7:14 If My people who are called by My name will HUMBLE themselves, PRAY and SEEK My face, and TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, THEN I will HEAR from heaven, and I WILL FORGIVE their sin and HEAL their land.

James 3:8-10 But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren this ought not to be so.

James 3:16 For where envy and self seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.

Choose this day whom you will follow.

I am God's work in progress. God's word says "be holy as I am holy." The only way to accomplish this is to turn our lives over to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have found that this is a learning process but begins with a real desire to know Him. My prayer is Lord keep me on your paths of righteousness bringing glory and honor to your name.
